Rinkeby

The district of Rinkeby has several ongoing project within the City District Regeneration, both physical and social. There are efforts with target groups such as elders, school children, women and disabled, as well as projects for the combat of drug use, the safety and physical renewal of the district and for the support of sporting activities and a local Rinkeby web portal. Of special interest for the POSEIDON co-operation is the “out-reach” work with two full time employed staff members engaged to involve people hard two reach. This is of special importance since even though there are formal structures for participation, some groups such as youth and women tend to be underrepresented in the participation process. During spring 2005 and in connection to POSEIDON, Rinkeby intends to focus on young people.
