Stockholm’s Final Conference
Our POSEIDON adventure!

Over the last three years councillors, staff and young people living and working in two of Stockholm’s suburbs have been given the chance to make friends in other parts of Europe, thanks to the EU partnership POSEIDON. A number of exchange visits have provided both youths and adults with plenty of opportunities to develop refreshing new ways of looking at our own “deprived” neighbourhoods. Together with friends and colleagues in other partner areas we have discovered new methods to explore the strengths and possibilities inherent in our local communities.

An Event will be arranged Monday 18th December in order to share our experiences within the POSEIDON partnership with young Stockholmers who are interested in contributing to the development of their own neighbourhoods, staff working in related public services in city districts throughout Stockholm, local councillors and other policy-makers.

The participants will also be presented with narratives of Stockholm’s three pilot projects – two youth-related and one covering a job seeking facility.

The Event will be facilitated by young people involved in the establishment of the Youth Club in Skärholmen, one of the POSEIDON areas in Stockholm.
